すごく良い歌詞ですよね。本来、意を決すれば世の中を変えることができるのに、なんでお前はためらっているんだ？ という趣旨なんですけど、とてもパワーがあって素晴らしい。
この歌が下敷きになっているのだとすれば、今日の Life is now. はこんな風に意訳したいと思います。
「人生を変えるんだったら、今だ！」
私はポップスの世界に全く暗いので知らなかったのですが、John Mellencamp さんは武道館で来日公演をやるくらいにビッグなアーティストなんですね。個人的には、メグ・ライアンの婚約者であるというだけで羨ましいです。
